I love Portulaca! They grow from seed, close up their flowers in the shade/cool/cloudy days to save energy ( I guess) and are drought tolerant. Some species seem to transplant from their little nodes too. Awesome filler plant where I don't want to plant expensive annuals, or spend water for color.
I notice also, that the sundial is made with some thyme varieties and other herbs. Very creative landscape design.
Next time you visit, maybe you could get some closeups of some of the flowers, especially the awesome portulaca flowers. I love their colors.
With all due respect, Juan, I understand the purpose of Project Noah, thank you very much. In my opinion, a sundial made of living things is perfectly appropriate for PN ... I just needed to tweak the spotting in order to play by the rules and be a good citizen scientist. Problem solved.

Hi there, one of our Rangers has flagged this inappropriate.
Please focus your spottings on a specific species. I see there are some nice flowers, perhaps you can modify this spotting and direct attention towards the flora :)
