Description:

I have been seeing this quite frequently on different trees. I'm guessing it fungus but I have mixed feelings. Is it sap? some manmade glue? I don't know someone please enlighten me.

Looks like a very young chicken of the woods - Laetiporus sulphureus.

Looks like fungi to me. Sap would dry more resinous
