Pheucticus ludovicianus
A stocky, medium-sized songbird with a large triangular-shaped bill. Adult males in breeding plumage are black and white with a brilliant red patch extending from the black throat down the middle of the breast.
Spotted near a meadow at Bent of the River Audubon.
