Injured hawk, looking towards classroom and requesting animal rescue.
Mixed trees and open fields
Hawk kept at looking thru the glass door into the classroom for well over an hour. Animal rescue was called and they took the bird for treatment.

Which college? Man wish UTD had cool creatures lol
Annorion: Good thought. Perhaps the hawk was seeking help from the reflection which he thought was another hawk inside.
Heather: Thanks, raptors bring a lot of joy to many.
Pretty bird. I hope it healed.
I wonder if maybe he was seeing his own reflection in the glass... Or maybe being on a campus he was more accustomed to people in general and a one on one interaction may have been less intimidating for him. In any case, I'm glad he ran into someone or should I say stared at someone ;) who was willing to help. Thanks for sharing!
It was a strange incident. This was at a college campus and when people came down the walk (the walk in the background) the hawk would go in the bushes. As the walked cleared the hawk would come back to the glass door and look into the classroom. I was the only person in the room at that time.
Amazing that he trusted humans so much to seek help!
I had a chance to talk to the rescurer and she said it was a wing injury and sometimes they can return to the wild. I know that we have very good shelters for raptors and they are well kept if they cannot be returned to nature.
Thanks for asking.
Oh I just noticed this spotting was back in July...Do you know if he was able to recover?
Hope they were able to help him!
