He looks so small for a one year old & maybe too young to hunt effectively? Leopard cubs don't become independent until around 22 months & usually stay with their mothers for more than 2 years so maybe he is an orphan & has been forced to look for easy pickings.

leopards have been increasingly coming into the city limits in mumbai too.this is because man is encroaching upon its territory ,so it has no choice left but to venture in for food.this has been happening too often out here.

Last night 1 year old Leopard was caught inside the fowl house and later it was shifted to Kaziranga National Park Assam.......
