Phasmotaenia sp
This is an interesting find of seldom seen Phasmid from the genus Phasmotaenia, possibly Phasmotaenia sanchezi, but not sure. P.sanchezi was first described by Bolivar in 1897. This is a Female, quite large, body length around 18-20 cm. She has very tiny wings, as shown in Pic #1, when startled, she will opens up her wings which is brownish in color but underwings are red in color. Pic #1 also shows and enlarged thorax, which means she has just fed. This specie, usually after feeding, their thorax will be bloated/enlarged.
