Lesser Racket-tailed Drongo

Dicrurus remifer

Description:

Medium-sized bird which is distinctive in having two elongated outer tail feathers with webbing restricted to the tips. This pair shows only one elongated tail feather possibly due to molting or fight resulting in the loss of one of its tail feather.

Habitat:

Found mainly in forest habitats.

Notes:

One of the birds that I was shooting flew off to catch a moth for its morning meal.

Lovely spotting Dive muster. I think they are Lesser Racket Tailed Drongo's. The Greater variety has a crest which is absent in the Lesser variety. I maybe wrong though. You can see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Rac... and http://www.flickr.com/photos/prashu_sm/4...
