Small plover with gold and black flakes on head, wings and back; long slender beak. Brown in non-breeding season.

Notes:

This Pacific Golden Plover is wintering in Singapore. Flying up and down a Canal at Pasir Ris Farmway 3, Singapore, before settling down for a session of bathing and feather maintenance.

Yes, Alice. They normally live in the Siberian tundra --- a long way from tropical Singapore! No wonder it's taking advantage of the sun, sand and (liquid) water!
