Ooh! Fantastic! I never see any snakes so that sounds amazing! I just uploaded my only photographs from there, perhaps it will make you travel back in time :)

We spent a couple of hours in that hide at Panic Lake and when we turned to leave we saw a very large African Rock Python on the frame above the door! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/771... Lots of other interesting spots there also, Jacana babies, Kingfishers, Crocodile,

I stopped at the bird hide close to Skukuza for the first time last weekend, what a fantastic place!!! The weaver-birds was busy building their nests, the herons had babies and a lot of more fantastic things... But I only have a macro lens so far, so I had to enjoy it with my eyes :)

We spent 4 days in Kruger, based at Skukuza, so only covered a small area, but we spent a lot of time waiting at waterholes, just like animals , all birds need to come and drink!

It is great to see that the birds you saw "back then" are still happy habitants of the park :) But I have to say that you saw many of them during your visit(s?) in Kruger. I do not think I have one single birdspotting that you dont have from there :)
