Ha ha ha ! But i never tasted fungi :P I am afraid to taste..
Instead of using plastic plates, which are bionondegradable, this plate can be used :)
And in the end we can say " a guest came and ate food including plates"..lolz!

Sintija Valucka
Sintija Valucka 10 years ago

yes, it was big enough for that :D
and this would be a very nature friendly plate, because afterwards you could eat the plate, too :)

I'd love to have my food in a plate like this :P

maybe it really has lost its colour, I will have to check that place again, maybe there will be some new fungi (baby fungi :D) :)

You are most welcome, sintija. Your spotting is massive, but perhaps it's like mine where it seems to loose colour as it matures. Awesome stuff :-)

wow, thank you very much, Neil! :))
Now I also think that it really belongs to the genus Lepista. ;)
And it surely is tricky to identify fungi!!!

A great spotting. Most likely Lepista sp., or possibly Hygrocybe sp. I would lean towards the Lepista sp., particularly with the waxy cap, deep gills and smooth stem with its grainy appearance. Good places to start. Here's one I found that was documented over several days. I still haven't found an exact ID for mine, but I think you'll agree they look very similar. (1) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/310... (2) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/308... (3) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/313... I must change the ID of mine to Lepista sp. Fungi ID is never an easy task :-/
