A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Tall green trunks, no branches. I couldn't see much in the way of spines, either - but being on a ledge above us made inspection somewhat difficult.
These cacti were growing amongst trees and other plants on a sloping, rock and soil covered hill that ended in a ledge some 15 ft (4 1/2 meters) above the rocks we walked across - rocks that went underwater at high tide. The breeze was light, the air salty, the temperature moderate.
