Spotting

Description:

I haven't seen this fruit/seed before. It measures 1 inch by half inch. it had its' own stem. The actual plant was about a foot tall with a straight "trunk" and leaves at the top. This plant is growing at the side of a road. There is a backround plant behind the fruit which has nothing to do with the spotting

Habitat:

tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica, end of rainy season
