Ambush Bugs

Phymatidae

Description:

Two pairs of mating ambush bugs. Small 1/4 - 1/2 inch. Female larger. Prefers goldenrod as their hiding place. Predators of caterpillars It has knife-life pinchers and eats everything but the outer shell. Small, but deadly.

Habitat:

Meadow in the Poconos.
