spread wing damselfly

Lestes vigilax

Description:

see references

Habitat:

Botanical Garden - There were a lot of male and females flying around in the outside area at the Denver Botanical Gardens that day.

Notes:

I am not positive of the specific species of spread wing damselfly in these photos. My guess would be - pond spread wing (Lestes vigilax). Colorado does appear to be out of their normal range. Can anybody confirm?
