Antheraea polyphemus
Large green caterpillar. Small spines on each segment.
Found in my yard.
There are plenty of oaks all around. Just posted a cocoon not far from where caterpillar was found.
Nice spotting tomk3886. Is there an oak tree nearby? the only reason I ask is because this caterpillar feeds on it, and most likely crawled down to pupate.
