Description:

Red headed fungus on white stalk; instead of circular umbrella-like cap has tentacle-like appendages

Habitat:

Mixed tropical upland forest with native koa and ohia as well as alien species such as eucalyptus.

Notes:

Growing in vegetative detritus along north side of Aiea Loop Trail. Photo taken with film camera; print later scanned.
