This is a Conocybe similar or possibly the same as C. apala/albipes, in India you might have a different species though.

hi atul, do you have an favorite site with "local" fungi. Otherwise,european fungi should do!! _ roger'smushrooms - mushroomexpert - eol - wikipedia - "fungi determination/identification key's" ( http://www.google.nl/#hl=nl&cp=29&am... ). Ask if you want more info (i use most of the site ). nice pdf's out there! but back to your spotting, take a look at genus "Conocybe" ! maybe "apala" ? (i don't know if "C. apala" is confirmed by you) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conocybe_ap... ), pick a local mycological site and try the direction: conocybe ! good luck
