Spring Taxeotis

Taxeotis perlinearia

Description:

These moths had a wing span of about 25 mm. The wings were a pale grey with slightly darker submarginal areas which is bordered by dark spots on a wavy ochre line. A small comma shaped dark spot is seen on the costal margin of the fore wings near the slightly recurved apices.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve. These two moths were seen in the same spot on the day.
