Buckeye

Aesculus sp.

Description:

Large, palmate leaves. Serrated, usually with five leaflets.

Habitat:

Forested slope

Notes:

Either A. glabra or A. flava, and I'm leaning more towards A. flava, but I'm not 100% sure. I was drawn to the tree after finding an assassin bug, Zelus luridus, on a leaf. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
