These are small (5-6 cm) black ants with little ant bodies and little ant heads and little ant legs. Obviously I have no idea how to describe an ant. They just "looked" like ants.
While these are commonly seen running in long lines up the side of buildings. These were seen @20:30 on the side of a cement block building in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador. The second floor is wood and these were congregated close below 1" overhang of the wood.
While these are commonly seen running in long lines up the side of buildings, every once in a while I see them holding these planning meetings. I have no idea why. It rained later, but it was hours later. And while they were meeting a lot of others were continuing their hustle and bustle.

Thank you Sukanyar. I have been trying to find a way to search missions by topic, but all I can find is by location. I appreciate the heads up.
