Description:

Thin tough polypore that grows everywhere I look. Looks like tail of turkey feathers when fanned out.

Habitat:

Woodlands, grows on dead trees and logs. This one was found on a coniferous stump.

Notes:

Possible ant-cancer. Traditional Chinese medicinal uses.
