The mushroom I found was green when we found it but after a while it shriveled up an turned brown.
Trees all around were we found the fallen tree the mushroom was attached to the mushroom was still alive because when we brought it inside after about a week it shriveled up so it was still getting nutrients from the dead tree.
We went outside to observe the mushrooms on our campus. We as a group found six mushrooms and I am submitting one. I found this mushroom growing on a dead tree about 20 feet into the woods next to the road.
