Chorlito

Charadrius falklandicus falklandicus

Description:

Small bird commonly found in Uruguay. It´s color may vary and it may have different dark and white collars here and there ... We have different kind of "Chorlito" birds. I couldn´t find any with such a clear white line on its head so I´m not too sure about the kind of chorlito...

Habitat:

Widely spread along Uruguay: countryside with green pastures and coastline
