Leopard Slug

Limax maximus

Description:

Found in my terrace. One of the biggest slugs I have ever seen. The adult slug can reach 20 cm in length. A fun fact quoted from Wikipedia: This species has a very unusual and distinctive mating method, where the pair of slugs use a thick thread of mucus to hang suspended in the air from a tree branch or other structure.

Habitat:

Sint-Joris Weert, Belgium.
