You are right. It's a sad situation.

Harsha these days I am mainly only in the myriad of benefits of this plant that we are denied. I have personally seen beneficial uses in action that some would describe as near miraculous. This plant has been with us as a companion in evolution for tens of thousands of years and to suddenly deny it's true value, in spite of the balance of all the evidence, is a ridiculous situation and only the result of a few political type people with vested interests.

Thanks, Harsha. I will include links in my spottings you can read about the uses of the plants.

Argybee, you can come here and enjoy it. haha..Devotees of lord Shiva use it like a gift from God. Near my house I see people rubbing it between the palms of their hands, they go back to the temple and wash it off in a vessel and then drink it; or scrape it off, roll in a leaf and smoke it. P.young, I haven't seen much herbs. I only study the books sometimes. Your mission will be a help, I hope.

Yes. it was a wild herbal. Native American used it. I did not know about the president asking the prime minister to ban it. "That is not in our history books"!! There was a propaganda movie made in the USA it is on You Tube, they showed this to people to scare them. It was called Reefer Madness (1937)

Thanks for joining the mission. I joined your too. It is very good to learn about homeopathy from our elders! Learn all you can!! I have learned a lot from my father too! I also have some other mentors too, that have shown me the plants so now I have more knowledge!!
That is interesting about the village. I have seen it growing in the woods once or twice also." But I would not disturb it either". For similar reasons!!

In the 1920's our government paid farmers to grow it (sativa) here.
In the 1950's the USA president asked our prime minister for a favor after WW2 and that was the end of common sense. Politicians!

Another interesting information which is known only to local population here...there is a village here from where it is smuggled profusely. That village is nowhere on the map, just to keep it a secret. No outsiders go there, they don't come back alive.

Thanks for the info P. I have some interest in homeopathy because of my father's interest in it. I practice it whenever I get a chance. I have already joined the mission. I'll be adding it too.

Good photo!! My father said it grew wild in America in the early 1900's before the laws were passed to ban it. It was used for rope,it was called "Hemp"! In some States in America people are allowed to use it as a pain reliever. "California" This would be a good spotting for plants used as homeopathic medicine. http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8473...
