Tufted Titmouse

Baeolophus bicolor

Description:

"These birds have grey upperparts and white underparts with a white face, a grey crest, a dark forehead and a short stout bill; they have rust-coloured flanks. The song is usually described as a whistled peter-peter-peter. They make a variety of different sounds, most having a similar tone quality."

Notes:

I woke up and there was a thin layer of snow on the ground. I headed to the bird feeders and they were under siege! The woodpecker on the suet, the chicadees, nuthatches and titmice on the tube, junco's on the ground, and the squirrels at their feeder! IT WAS INSANE! The curiosity of the titmouse allowed me to do some more creative shots so I took the chance. I hope you don't mind ;)
