Butterfly found in proximity to river
Could be as I commented, however, we cannot be 100% sure. I previously and now did not find any reports from Colombia, Peru or Ecuador.

Hola Norieth, join this mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/2031...
I think this one might really be Smicropus laeta, although I was a little bit sceptic before.
Fantástico color que bonitas series ....

That's a stunningly elegant beauty!
Of my first pictures thank you very much for your comments! Gracias..
Que espectaculo de mariposa!
Phenomenal contrast with the background!!
what a great contract to the background! great capture
That's a very tricky one. There are quite a few yellow moths around all looking almost the same, but are not even from the same family. I think this one is a Geometridae, Sterrhinae, Smicropus sp. Although it looks quite similar and is found in Columbia I do not think it is Smicropus laeta:http://www.boldsystems.org/views/taxbrow...Might even be a not yet described species, as are much moths and butterflies in Colombia as well.
Good find and welcome to ProjectNoah
