Thanks, J. It is a close relative to this bird:
(A Black-throated Magpie-Jay is featured in The Big Bang Theory Season 5 episode 9, The Ornithophobia Diffusion, although incorrectly referred to as a "Blue Jay.")

Thank you, Adarsha and Kranti. Like other jays these birds are omnivorous and rather opportunistic. The first photo in the series is of an individual waiting on the railing on the second floor of the hostel where he had been being fed by a couple staying there.
