Wild Cucumber pods

Echinocystis labata

Description:

At first glance, it looked like a cocoon, however, there were about 20 of them on this particular plant and inside empty "pod". Very interesting along an old canal at the Bethlehem Steel Co.

Habitat:

Canal, waterway, Bethlehem Steel Co. (park/woodlands) within city limits
