Cow Parsnip

Heracleum maximum

Description:

Cow Parsnip plants may be 2 meters (6 feet) tall. The white flower umbels are typical of the other members of the carrot family and may be 20 cm (8 in) across. The leaves may be 40 cm (16 in) wide. Stems are thick.

Habitat:

Typically grows near water. This particular specimen was on the shore of Glacier National Park's Bowman Lake.
