Common frog

Rana temporaria

This one is around 5cm long, but they can reach 9cm. Brown color, with darker spots near the eyes, and darker stripes on the legs. The pupil is horizontal. The hind legs are really long an it has something that looks like a "humpback"...

From 600 to 2000m, in forests and wet meadows . I found this one in Mt. Retezat at 1900m.

Common name in my country: " mountain red frog".
