Green Darner

Description:

The Green Darner is one of the largest dragonflies existent: males grow to 76 mm (3.0 in) in length with a wingspan of up to 80 mm (3.1 in). The head and thorax are green-yellow to olive in color, and the abdomen can range from green, to dark brown to iridescent blue.

Habitat:

Mostly wet lowlands, but during migration can be seen almost anywhere.
