(Vermivora chrysoptera) x (Vermivora pinus)
This warbler is a hybrid between the Blue-winged warbler (Vermivora pinus) and the Golden-winged warbler (Vermivora chrysoptera). These two species often hybridize where their ranges overlap, and the most common result is a "Brewster's Warbler". It retains the golden crown and pale breast of the Golden-winged warbler, but has the narrow black eye stripe and lighter colored wing bars of the Blue-winged warbler. The black throat patch of the Golden-winged warbler is also conspicuously absent.
