Description:

This Phasmid is endemic to Luzon Island, Philippines and the only specie in its genus, Sungaya. Pic #1 - Male, around 5.5 cm Pic #2 - Female, around 8 cm

Habitat:

Tropical forest

Notes:

This specie was described by Oliver Zompro of Germany back in 1996, discovered from a village called Sungay in Philippines, hence the genus name of Sungaya. As it was an unexpected discovery, Zompro named the specie - inexpectata!
