New Zealand Common Gecko

Hoplodactylus maculatus

Notes:

What I thought was the remains of spider silk egg sack on a fence revealed itself to be a gecko skin (after I eased it out of its cranny).

I've spent years in India with awful looking house geckos but never seen them shed their skin - Great spotting Kerry ! Pic #1 shows what I think is a membranous skin off the lower jaw - amazing ...

I found the skin at my house. The live geckos we've seen here have all been brownish common geckos, and this skin has brownish markings along the back. I'd freak out if we had green ones here. :)
