The Nessus Sphinx (Amphion floridensis) is a day-flying moth of the Sphingidae family. It lives throughout the eastern United States and Canada and occasionally down into Mexico, and is one of the more commonly-encountered day-flying moths in the region, easily recognized by the two bright yellow bands across the abdomen. Macroglossum is an Eurasian species and not found in the US. I only know Amphion floridensis with these typical 2 white stripes and spots. It is a also a small Spingidae.

The second photo is great (you might consider moving it to the first position).
