(Male) Carpenter Bee

Xylocopa tabaniformis orpifex

Description:

I believe this is a juvenile male Carpenter Bee. It's small, fuzzy and black with a yellow face and front of thorax. The wings are brown and eyes gray/green.

Habitat:

It was flying with a female Valley Carpenter Bee around this Mexican Bush Sage and they were chasing each other around.

Notes:

I believe this is Xylocopa tabaniformis
