A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Zizina otis
spotted in my garden in Tamil Nadu, South India
I forgot to say: your shots are great! More than good enough to allow for identification and render the wonderful atmosphere and diversity of your garden.. Of course we all want better cameras... myself included:-)
Hi pamsai! The website I'm referring too can be trusted as it is peer-reviewed by professional butterfly biologists. In case there is a disagreement one of our rangers. Ashish Nimkar, also has a great written reference:

Ashish is not around much at the moment but I'm sure that he'll eventually get to see your butterflies:-)
Right Daniele, I see that in the dark blue grass the dots are in a much more orderly pattern, almost a U shape... while the Lesser is more 4 and 2. Fascinating! I am learning so much... Wish I could have got a clearer shot though. They are so tiny, and skittish! I need a new camera so I can take artistic photos of butterflies, not just snaps!
Shall, I enter that name in now as it seems to have been confirmed by that website? Or should I still wait for those +'s?
Hi pamsai! Look at the alignment of dots on the under-wing: compare:

with

Same tribe, different genus...
Now, your brown ones, these are tricky! Someone else might get lucky before me :-)
thanks Danieie. How to tell this apart from the Dark grass blue? Is there any easy way to tell them apart?
