Opossum

Didelphia virginiana

Description:

The Opossum is mostly gray in color and has a long tail. It is about 2.5 feet in length including its tail. Opossums vary in weight usually only up to 13 pounds.

Habitat:

The Opossum lives in North America, mostly in the east and south east regions.

Notes:

My name is Kathlene Hurtado and I saw this Opossum at my parents house in Virginia Beach last week. It was hiding in their shed. We ended up trapping him and letting it go in a safe place.
