Description:

This plant grows up to 40 cm in high, in late summer produces up to 30 characteristic Allium pink flowers. Stamens are longer than petals, leaves are thin and strap like.

Habitat:

Mountain clearing 1200 m asl, NP Paklenica

:) there's 55 species of Allium in Croatian flora, the most of them are edible, maybe 2-3 species aren't, I will find you some on lower altitude to taste it :)

Ah bummer! Guess I have to climb the mountains of Croatia to get an idea what it tastes like then :)

Thanks! No, unfortunatelly, it's very healthy but I never tasted garlic or onion, not even wild, I don't like the smell...
