Anacridium aegyptium
Its been nearly a year since my last spotting of an Egyptian Locust. This one was of a similar size of around 70mm so appears to be a female as the males only grow to around 55 to 60mm. You tend to easily spot them as they land as they seem to have a very clumsy landing so they catch your eye.

Now that would be a big locust wouldn't it asergio, it should read mm. Thanks for pointing out my error.
Sorry, Janice, but did you say 60 cm? that would be two feet!
