Double Crested Cormerant

Phalacrocorax auritus

Description:

A large black bird with an orange beak and bright blue eyes. They don't have oil on their feathers so they can dive deeper than ducks, but also have to spend time drying out their feathers afterwards. On of my favorite birds.

Habitat:

near water
