A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Xema sabini
A small gull from the Artic. Gull about a foot long and weighs under 10 oz. Gray back and wing coverts, black primary flight feathers and white secondaries. The adults have a black gray head lined with black border, black bill with yellow tip. White forked tail and white eyelid. This bird is out of his range and injured. Though still capable of flying and hunting.
Spotted on the beach with other species of gulls. Noticed it was smaller than the Ring-billed Gull.
