Very interesting!
It could well be, Martin. There are several spiders around here that share a similar color pattern. One possibility is that the white abdomen attracts the vision of possible preys, while the real dangerous part is matching the environment and becoming unnoticed. But I can't assure that...
Do you suppose this white abdomen is mimicking a spittle bug?
