Whitetip Reef Shark

Triaenodon obesus

Description:

A slender shark with a depressed head and blunt snout. Sometimes has a few scattered roundish dark grey spots on body. First dorsal fin and caudal fin have a white spot.

Habitat:

Often found resting in caves or on the sand.

Notes:

Found at coconut beach in a bout 15m of water. Was circling underneath me for five minutes and kept annoying a medium sized Humphead wrasse.
