On my vacations in the Algarve, took these photos of these friendly birds. There were 20 or 25 of these little birds. It's not the first time that I see around here, but never knew the species. Have the size of a palm of hand, and his legs go pretty fast.

Wonderful little bird! Definitely a Calidris - It's portuguese common name would be Pilrito-da-areia :D
