feral roosters

Description:

Two colorfully-plumed wild roosters ~ 15 inches tall.

Habitat:

Developed area on tropical upland plateau.

Notes:

Spotted aboard Wahiawa Annex, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. These two individuals were definitely not "chicken," and approached me closely. They backed off, kept their distance, but did not run, when I turned and walked toward them.
