Indian Peafowl

Pavo cristatus

Description:

Large colorful birds ~ 2 feet tall with prominent crests, and on males, tails up to four feet long.

Habitat:

Built-up area on tropical upland plateau

Notes:

Spotted assembled outside of a disused base theater aboard Wahiawa Annex, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. I wonder if they were queued up waiting for a special screening of "The Birds."
