Description:

This beautiful damselfly is about 39–57 mm (1.5–2.2 in) in length. Males have metallic blue-green bodies and black wings (first photo). The colors of a female are similar but are much more subdued (second photo).

Habitat:

Sun-dappled forest streams and meadows near forested areas.
