Litoria citropa
A small (40-60mm) green and golden-brown frog. Usually found in streams and rivers, this one was spotted in out back yard (no streams or rivers in sight).
Adults are usually found at or near rocky rivers and streams in wet or dry forest and woodlands. Found from South-east NSW to South-east Victoria. Often found sheltering under rocks along streamsides. The eggs are usually spawned in streamside pools and backwaters, and the tadpoles are strong-swimming, river or stream dwellers. We got all excited thinking this was a rare green-and-gold frog, but these guys are relatively common throughout their range.

Thanks Neil, being at Nowra we're a fair distance from the Blue Mountains, so I'm not sure the common name is indicative of location :-) This guy had a narrow escape from my lawn mower before I returned him to the frog pond.
I'm from Sydney and have explored the Blue Mountains like no one's business, but I've never seen one of these little guys. Thanks for the introduction... and I am excited :-) A great spotting, Steve.
I love him/her!
Great photo SteveA! Always great to know little frogs are still around.
